Beauty queen turned Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is well known for her charity work. She has been associated with various causes and supported many charitable works. Recently, the 36 year old actress has pledged to donate her beautiful eyes after her death.
On Thursday, Aishwarya and Akshay Kumar visited the Cancer Patients Aid Association and spend some good time with the cancer patients there. Both the actors danced with these patients and brought smiles to their faces.
The actress has been associated with this association since she won the Miss World crown. Ash has announced on that day to adopt two cancer patients for their treatment. She requested others to do the same so that these people can lead normal lives.
Akshay Kumar's father also suffered from the dreaded disease so the actor could feel the pain of these patients. He was quoted saying that he had seen his father struggling with cancer with a lot of courage. The actor said that he is very happy see these patients happily dancing today.
Neerja Birla and model Kalpana Malviya also attended the event along with the two Bollywood stars.
This noble step taken by Aishwarya might encourage many to support these cancer patients at their level! She has done her part of social responsibility and must be applauded for that.
