It has been reported that actress / television host Ricki Lake's home burned to the ground after she tried to refuel a portable heater.
According to the Sheriff's report, this fiery incident took place on Sunday morning. The 41-year-old TV star was attempting to refuel her heater at the Malibu residence in California, when a couch caught fire and the uncontrollable blaze was soon all around the place. The fire started at around 7.18 in the morning and was extinguished at 7.51 am.
The flames supposedly rose about 30 feet high in the air and the cops had to close down a certain section of the entire Pacific Coast Highway as they fought the raging blaze.The spokesperson for Ricki Lake said that no one was injured. There was no report of any kind of bodily harm to the people present at the scene and the TV presenter escaped unharmed, along with her sons Milo, 13, Owen, 9, and their pet dog.
The house was completely destroyed but it is at least good to know that all were okay and weren't touched by the flames that incinerated the building.
