July 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): George Clooney, the acclaimed Hollywood actor, testified on Friday at a legal trial three people. All of the three are accused of exploiting the name of George in order to uphold a fashion product in Milan. The 49-year-old actor avoided camera flashes to a crowded courtroom so as to give evidence as a public plaintiff in a case that commenced in the year 2008 in MIlan.
George says that he has faith in the judicial system and he wants justice. He says there were some people who were using his name in order to dupe the public and George, being a responsible citizen couldn't stand that.
The defendants, Vincenzo Cannalire, Francesco Galdelli, and Vanja Goffi are the ones who are found guilty. They have been charged with deception, counterfeit and with the crime of having stolen goods. Amongst the three, only Cannalire was present.
At the court hearing, Clooney had his glasses on and he looked quietly at a few pictures that depicted him alongside the defendants, and alleged that they were all untrue. He presented the court of law with a few real pictures of him in order to prove his point. Clooney was in a blue suit and looked quite dashing to say the least.
