The state is bounded by Tamil Nadu in the south, Karnataka in the west, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Orissa in the north and the Bay of Bengal in the East. Winter in Andhra starts from October and lasts till February. Due to its proximity to the Bay of Bengal, Andhra experience mild winters.
